My Story so far
From corporate accountant to candle maker — and everything in between.
The Wild Glen began during the pandemic, from our home in Glenealy, Co. Wicklow.
What started as pouring candles in the evenings while raising twins and a toddler slowly grew into something much bigger — a small business built around slowing down, creating calm moments and doing things a little more simply.
Today, The Wild Glen is home to hand-poured candles inspired by nature and everyday rituals, relaxed candle making workshops, and practical business support for other small business owners trying to figure it all out as they go.
Before all of this, I spent 14 years working in accounting, so alongside the creative side of The Wild Glen, I also share simple tools, templates and support to help make the business side feel a little less overwhelming.
Everything here is created with the same intention — to keep things calm, simple and grounded.

What the Wild Glen is ..
What began as a passion for beautiful, nature-inspired candles has blossomed into something broader — but the heart of it hasn't changed.
Every candle is poured slowly and intentionally, made to bring a moment of calm into an ordinary day. Every workshop is a few hours away from the noise — something created with your hands, something that's just yours. And the bookkeeping support exists because small business owners deserve someone in their corner who truly gets it.

We believe in slowing down and taking a breather. Because that's not a luxury. It's how you do your best work, live your best life, and build something that actually lasts.
Our Ingredients
All our candles are made using EcoSystem Rapeseed & Coconut (RCX) natural wax blend. This wax is made from rapeseed oil and coconut oil and nothing else. It is completely free from paraffin, soy, palm, beeswax and synthetic additives. Unlike traditional paraffin wax candles, our candles are non-toxic and do not release harmful chemicals when burned. In addition, they burn longer and cleaner, meaning they produce less soot and residue. Our fragrance oils which we mix with the wax are sourced locally from Bomar Aromatherapy in Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow, all of which are derived from high-quality synthetic ingredients.
Our wax melts are crafted from a blend of Rapeseed and Coconut wax, carefully chosen for its eco-friendly and sustainable qualities. This unique wax formulation is free from any animal or mineral/petroleum-derived ingredients, and it steers clear of genetically modified (GM) plant sources. Not only does it offer a smooth and lustrous finish to our wax melts, but it also aligns perfectly with our commitment to responsible sourcing.
