The name ‘The Wild Glen’ was developed with three things in mind – the location of the business being Glenealy, Co Wicklow, the mind itself being overwhelmed and a little ‘Wild’ in need of some care and rest and finally nature and earth being key to our products. ‘The Wild Glen’ seemed to capture the essence of all these elements.
The beauty of nature and its grounding properties are at the core of this small family business as is the joy of giving gifts that will capture peoples hearts.

Our Ingredients
All our candles are made using EcoSystem Rapeseed & Coconut (RCX) natural wax blend. This wax is made from rapeseed oil and coconut oil and nothing else. It is completely free from paraffin, soy, palm, beeswax and synthetic additives. Unlike traditional paraffin wax candles, our candles are non-toxic and do not release harmful chemicals when burned. In addition, they burn longer and cleaner, meaning they produce less soot and residue. Our fragrance oils which we mix with the wax are sourced locally from Bomar Aromatherapy in Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow, all of which are derived from high-quality synthetic ingredients.
Our wax melts are crafted from a blend of Rapeseed and Coconut wax, carefully chosen for its eco-friendly and sustainable qualities. This unique wax formulation is free from any animal or mineral/petroleum-derived ingredients, and it steers clear of genetically modified (GM) plant sources. Not only does it offer a smooth and lustrous finish to our wax melts, but it also aligns perfectly with our commitment to responsible sourcing.

Hi, I’m Anne-Marie Fitzgerald – though most people know me as Mia!
The Wild Glen began as a quiet dream rooted in my love for nature, creativity, and the simple joy of bringing people together. Over the years, the idea gently took shape – something that could blend my passion for the outdoors with my love of making thoughtful, meaningful things.
As a mum juggling work, family, and all the lovely chaos that comes with it, I’ve come to truly value having little pockets of peace – places where you can slow down, reconnect with nature, and feel inspired. That’s what I’ve tried to create with The Wild Glen: a calm, welcoming space that feels like a breath of fresh air.
Getting here has been a mix of challenges and small triumphs – from early sketches and ideas to choosing sustainable materials and finding just the right pieces to share with you. Every part of it has been done with care and love.
